Got the opportunity to checkout the new Unknwn store opening this weekend in the Wynwood District during Art Basel!
"Co-founded by Lebron James, Jaron Kanfer, and Frankie Walker Jr., UNKNWN is a Miami-based retail destination and culture creator within the worlds of arts, fashion, sports, and music."
The 10,000 sq ft. store was designed by John Margartis of New York Sunshine, a guy who's work I really respect and admire. Featuring a copper clad basketball goal and reflection pond, the UNKNWN space feels like part gallery and part retail store.
A perfect mesh of leisure and shop with the added bonus of a beautiful palm tree lined basketball court right outside! I actually got a chance to say what up to John at the Bape Miami store opening on Friday night, which led to him inviting myself and some friends to the store the next day.
Apart of the opening weekend festivities was a dope 3V3 tournament Saturday night at the outdoor court. I got a chance to connect with John at the tournament and give him a one off tee that I made to celebrate his new project and some hats we made for the Miami Pro League as well as to introduce him with the 9450 brand.
